How the dice fallSpecies and colour each come from one parent, 50/50. The personality is one parent's, with a fresh roll one time in five. Traits: a pup gets one 50% of the time when both parents have one, 25% when one does, and 5% when neither does. A pup that inherits no trait has a 1-in-100 chance of being born a comet, which no adoption can give. The pup starts at level 1 with a first memory about its family, and both parents rest for two days.
